These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PIPPS Point of Sale application operated by PIPPS Smart Apps ("we," "us," or "our"), a brand of J.C Epiphany. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using PIPPS Point of Sale, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Description of Service

PIPPS Point of Sale is a 100% free, web-based point of sale system that provides:

Sales processing and transaction management
Inventory tracking and management
Invoice and receipt generation (including PDF)
Refund and transaction reversal processing
Client and vendor relationship management
Discount, charge, and fee configuration
Company identity and receipt customization
Secure password and account management

3. Account Registration

To use the service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
All activities that occur under your account.
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PIPPS Point of Sale only for lawful business purposes. You may not:

Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or related systems.
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or any harmful content.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the application.
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service without written permission.

5. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into PIPPS Point of Sale. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your business data, client records, inventory, or transaction history. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

Scheduled maintenance and updates.
Infrastructure or network issues beyond our control.
Emergency security patches or fixes.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.

7. Free Service

PIPPS Point of Sale is provided at no cost. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future; however, the core POS functionality described in these Terms will remain free.

8. Intellectual Property

The PIPPS Point of Sale application, including its design, code, branding, logos, and documentation, is owned by PIPPS Smart Apps / J.C Epiphany and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
We are not responsible for any loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities resulting from service interruptions or errors.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (which is $0 for the free tier).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PIPPS Smart Apps, J.C Epiphany, and their officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to the service or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@pipps.app.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We may retain or delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
